The Referees are like the dungeon masters of old. They determine the outcome of just about everything that happens in the World of Tyrinth. In public they can be seen as those glowing beams of light up in the sky. The main referee is simply called, "Referee". The others have designations by their names and usually cover specific quests and campaigns that the Referee is not handling. However, the BBS takes a lot of work to run, and without the other referees Gateway to Reality would have gone down a long time ago. About the only thing that really seperates the Referee from the rest, these days, is that he still has the final word on what turn the World of Tyrinth is going to take and how it will affect the players characters.
