All proposed actions of your character must first be cleared by a referee (as described under "How do I tell my character what to do?" in the ACTIONS file). The only exceptions are trivial actions which do not affect anyone else or increase your power, such as ordinary conversation, haggling over the price of an item, or "I run over and grab a drink from the pretzel stand".
